In Conventional clarifiers, settling is based on the tendency of heavier particles to settle in a quiescent liquid medium. Parallel plate separator are based on the principal that it is the settlingfor conventional clarification. Units utilize minimal floor space, provide for low maintenance, installation and capital costs.
Plates are inclined at a 45ºangle to enhance rapid settling. There are many optional accessories and features for parallel plate separators. Flash mixing and flocculation zone are available for systems requiring the use of coagulants and/or flocculants.
